Lovely peaceful setting but things for the kids to do without costing the earth. Mrs A, DARTFORD 30 January 2011
Very quiet & peaceful, cottage lovely and warm (November holiday) Mrs S, Leicester, Leicestershire 20 November 2010
Excellent location for sightseeing and activities. Easy access to Park and Ride for York city centre. Cottage was spotlessly clean and very quiet. Swimming pool was a good size. Have already recommended the cottages to friends, and are looking to return next year. Mr L, Greenock, Renfrewshire 16 October 2010
Good value for money, good size, well maintained, clean and co-ordinated rooms. Our stay was very quiet but that's what we wanted, a short family break to spend time together. Great farm, the Monks Farm just a short drive away, great day out for the younger ones in your family. On site pub, pleasant, serving good food, kids meals big portions, too big really, my 3 year old didn't know were to start. Disco in pub on Saturday night, other than that it's your own entertainment. Kids welcome until 9.30pm, although that's plenty enough time when they are young. Park and playing field on site, pool area very nice with picnic benches and grassed area. Indoor pool with shallow end and out door pool with slide. Overall would recommend and would book again. Clean toilets/shower rooms.
Miss W, Hull, North Humberside 01 September 2010

The accommodation is ideal for young families, everything was of good standard and the staff very helpful, I would recommend this holiday to people who like access to a pool and don't mind driving a few miles to find some place to eat. Excellent central location, near to literally hundreds of attractions. The accommodation was clean and adequately equipped. The owners and other occupants on site were very friendly and helpful and there was oplenty of space for the dog too. The on site pub served excellent food and an even better price. I recommend going up to the Yorkshire gliding club as our 2 children experienced a wonderful flight. I will definitely be going back as it is ideally located for numerous horseracing tracks.
